Adult Evaluations
Adult psychosexuals come in many forms based on who is requesting the evaluation and the nature of the problematic sexual behaviors being investigated. Below are descriptions of the most commonly requested types of evaluations. The cost of the evaluation is based on type requested.
Please attain all court documents, treatment records, and criminal history prior to your appointment.
Post Conviction/DCS Required Evaluations: These evaluations need to be completed by a provider on the Department of Community Supervision approved provider list. Contact your probation officer for a list of approved providers.
Pre-Trial/Plea Agreement Evaluation
This is a thorough evaluation that can be completed in office, virtually, or at a detention facility. The evaluation includes document review, extensive interview, psychological testing, and collateral interviews. This evaluation can take from 6-12 weeks* to complete. This evaluation takes 6-10 hours of interviews and testing to be completed over multiple appointments.
Brief Risk Reduction Evaluation/Document Review
This is a cost effective solution for those wanting to see if petitioning for risk reduction or removal from the registry is an option. A review of your case based on the documents you provide will be reviewed, such as your SORRB level evaluation, prior psychosexuals, treatment records, etc. A formal letter will be provided with recommendations on what you can do to reduce your risk or whether a full evaluation is recommended. This letter is not sufficient for court purposes.
Bond Required Evaluations
These evaluations are not as thorough as a pre-trial/pre-plea agreement evaluation, but can be upgraded for that purpose. This evaluation is brief and will only provide recommendations on treatment while you are awaiting a court date. These evaluations take 2-4 weeks to complete.
Full Risk Reduction Evaluation
This is a thorough evaluation with extensive interviews, psychological testing, and document review. This evaluation can take from 6 to 12 weeks* to complete.
Post Conviction Misdemeanor Evaluations
This evaluation is appropriate for those on misdemeanor probation and are required to have a psychosexual evaluation as part of their probation conditions. The evaluation takes 4-6 weeks to complete and requires 4-8 hours of testing and interviews over a minimum of two appointments.
Post-Treatment Evaluation
This type of evaluation looks at changes after treatment has been completed. Often those requesting want to determine if additional treatment is needed or if family reunification is possible.
*Evaluations can be rushed and put on priority status with additional fees
